While many aspects of the City of Victor’s Draft Comprehensive Plan align with VARD’s mission of maintaining open space, wild places and vibrant towns, some aspects of the draft plan give rise to a few points of concern. Mainly — preventing sprawl. This is a recurring theme derived from public comments within the Victor community. That said, Urban Planning is a social science, and, in the context of a Comprehensive Plan, community values must be front and center in decision-making. If the public doesn’t want sprawl, that is reason enough to stop sprawl.
