Victor Planning & Zoning Prioritizes Community Concerns and Responsible Growth
Victor’s Planning and Zoning Commission made two significant decisions last week that prioritized community concerns, growth management, and responsible density within city limits. When you see these commissioners around town, please thank them!
Reconsideration LU2026-01 & 02 — Annexation and Zoning:
250 Aspen St, 17 Baseline Rd, and 106 Antelope Ln — Stewart, Kunz & Lazalde
This application was approved for reconsideration by council on August 26, 2026, returned to Planning and Zoning for review, and ultimately, will go before City Council for the final decision. The Planning and Zoning Commission upheld its previous decision to annex the properties with RS-7 zoning. Although the applicant's revised request preferred annexation with RS-5 or RM-3 zoning and removal of existing conditions of approval, the Commission retained RS-7 zoning and adjusted the conditions to better reflect the area’s existing character and address community concerns.
Public Hearing LU2026-09 — Annexation and Zoning:
Southwest corner of W 7000 S and Baseline Road — Teton Properties LLC
The Commission denied annexation at this time, citing insufficient demonstrated need and community concerns. Now, this application moves on to Victor City Council for final determination. We'll be there!
These decisions follow Victor City Council’s expressed concerns over the lack of Consent to Connect—also known as will-serve commitments—from the City of Driggs for wastewater treatment infrastructure during the October 14th meeting. In response, Council continued LU2026-07 – Rezoning to RS-7, southeast corner of Baseline Road and Aspen — Kunz. We are tracking this application and expect it to return before Council at its December meeting. We'll be there too!
