Driggs Public Hearing
Wednesday, April 9th @ 6:00 pm
City Council Chambers | 60 South Main Street at Driggs City Hall
Does this look familiar? If it does, it's because it was first submitted under a different name, owner, and developer. The public hearing for the first iteration of this project - Sweetwater CUP - was held on July 10, 2024 where the PZC ultimately tabled the item for more information on multiple items. More info can be found in the meeting minutes. If the developers were to RE-apply now, they would fall outside of Driggs' AOI. Given that the application is being heard as a project within the AOI, the Driggs PZC will have a chance to make a recommendation to the BOCC, but it will not go to Driggs City Council. The project received a will-serve letter from the City of Driggs (which expires May 16) that includes multiple conditions - have these all been met..? We at VARD support workforce housing but are unclear how the funding model for this development will work to provide true affordability. Please ask the City to make sure the developer is working with the Housing Authority and that any approved project WILL result in true Affordable Housing for our community.
