EPA technical assistance grant
In collaboration with the cities of Driggs and Victor, VARD was awarded a $45,000 technical assistance grant from the EPA, which will help equip the cities to implement smart growth principles. A team of renowned planners, transportation specialists, economists and designers visited Driggs and Victor the week of October 23-27 to work with the cities to ensure that their ordinances support their respective comprehensive plans. One aspect of this is helping the cities create a development atmosphere that supports compact mixed-use development. In addition, the team with work with the city of Victor on a design vision for their downtown. This grant is one of only four awarded in the entire country.
