Driggs P&Z recommends a scaled down impact area.
This was the first public hearing to consider amendments to the City of Driggs impact area. At the hearing, City planner Doug Self presented a more scaled back “Plan B” version than what the city originally proposed. Plan B still includes amending Huntsman Springs into the Impact Area so the city will have more control of utilities and land use applications, but the plan now excludes extending the Impact Area east of Teton Creek (out to Stateline Road) or south of Teton Creek at Highway 33. The city also proposed establishing an Area of Interest outside of the Impact Area, which would be governed by an informal arrangement where the county would request comments from Driggs on any land use applications in this area as they may potentially impact the city. After accepting comments from VARD and county commissioner Kathy Rinaldi, Driggs P&Z recommended approval of this newly revised Plan B proposal and Area of Interest.
