Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization! There are many ways to help your community and VARD, whether it is through volunteering directly for VARD or getting involved in the local land use decision making process.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
VARD is always in need of volunteers to help our events run smoothly. Volunteers generally help us with the front desk/admission and set-up and clean-up (1-2 hr shifts). Events include our open houses, education events, community tours, and our annual Membership Meeting. Volunteers get free admission to our events and usually free food.
Mailings and Poster/Flyer Distribution
4-5 times per year. We are in need of volunteers to help us with our newsletter and annual report distribution and mailings, as well as event flyer distribution around Teton Valley and Jackson.
Lend Us Your Brain!
Teton Valley is chalk-full of smart, seasoned folks, and we are always looking to utilize any special skills you may have to offer. Past examples have included pro bono architect/landscape architect design services, engineering, marketing/communication strategy, financial advising, event planning, and environmental consulting.
Please feel free to stop by our office Monday through Thursday between 9am and 4pm, give us a call (208-354-1707), and/or send us an e-mail to talk about your interests and how you might like to get involved.
